United Sports Training Center, Downingtown, PA
United Sports Training Center (USTC) is a 60-acre state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor sports complex located in the heart of Chester County. It is home to four outdoor artificial turf fields, seven grass fields, and 127,000 sq-ft of indoor playing surfaces to provide the ultimate sports and recreation experience in Chester County.
Project Specifics
Over 345,000 ft2 of artificial turf (4 outdoor fields)
- Fields 1 & 2 (177,840 ft2 combined): Removal of existing artificial turf field, laser grading, compacting and touch-up of existing stone base. Installation of new AstroTurf “RHINO BLEND” (formally known as “Q44”) sand and rubber in-filled artificial turf system.
- Fields 3 & 4 (168,120 ft2 combined): Construction of two new artificial turf fields including field-base construction (excavating & grading, perimeter concrete curb, drainage system, installation of stone base, final laser grading), and installation of AstroTurf “RHINO BLEND” (formally known as “Q44”) sand and rubber in-filled artificial turf system.
